10/16 - RAS KUSH DJ set on Tunnel One

Mollusk friend Ras Kush will be spinning heavy and exclusive music from his personal collection, as well as showcasing music from his own label on Tunnel One, WNYU's traditional ska and Jamaican roots music program.

Black Redemption Sound System has a powerful conscious sound, featuring Brooklyn based selector and producer Ras Kush. Ras Kush has many years of experience in the dub, roots, and steppers arenas, and is a leader in this music both in New York City and abroad. In addition, as founder of the Sounds of Praises/Black Redemption record label, Ras Kush has brought his experience as a selector into his Bed-Stuy-based recording studio, where he continues to create uncompromising music.
