Real Secrets

Due to the recent influx of B.A.N. commentary by a child-eating population known to reside under bridges we've decided to vibe control the area. Removing detritus from the sidewalk b/c Hard Body rhymes with accountability like hand shapes in the shorey stimulate the American economy. What up HA?

Yuki taking it to the next level with her new Gangsta Pink 5'8" CC keel

Jollyship of the World Inferno Raja is more stoked on surfing than you are...seriously. This 6'8" Christenson C-Bucket is off to a mid-Island secret spot that breaks 438 days a year!

UPS Ron dropped off Longer, Adrift and the new Taylor Steele movie Stranger Than Fiction (Bad Religion dude) which is pretty much off the chain. Fun new wavey soundtrack with a rad crew of young shredders shredding crypt waves. Dane Reynolds' part is THAT mental.

The guy in the maroon car just finished fronting on Ron and yet is driving backward in the opposite direction he was originally headed.

  2. I heard this book is harder than the absence of leash bridges at "deadies" on a low tide and over head swell with locs on your shoulders...

  7. I have a question. Why do the mollusk websites insist that CC shapes all his boards by hand and mixes and glasses all his boards? It's just not true. The dude is a shaping gift to surfers, no need to blow smoke.

  8. We don't insist that at all Mr.Smith. In fact CC told me himself most of his boards are CNC'ed but all are finished by hand. He doesn't glass his own boards but he has mixed his own colors before.

  9. I think this blurb, from the mollusk websites describing CC's work gives the wrong impression.

"Chris Christenson is all about 100 percent hand crafted surfboards. He shapes every board himself, with no aid of machines or ghost shapers, so when you get a log, twin keel, or single fin from Chris, you know it is the real deal. After years of study under Skip Frye, Chris prides himself on quality shapes, beautifully colored resin tints (that he mixes), and gloss and polish finishes that are built to last."

  12. asmith i had same thought the other day. on one of the other blogs i saw a reference to this shaper who has started his own label but used to ghost shape for cc. i have had a couple boards shaped for me from christenson so i dig the guy, but its strange that mollusk and other places say stuf about him 'shaping every board himself with no ghost shapers'. thats just bullshit because he does have ghost shapers....boards are still great but just be straight forward with this stuff.

  13. You guys are 100% right. We need to take that off of Chris' profile. When the shop in SF opened 3 years ago that was the case with Chris but now he's using machine shapes and has super high quality control. He asked me to update our sites months ago. Our site is going through some much needed changes anyway. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the reminder!
