Kidman Blows Off NYC

After exploiting NYC in a recent Surfer's Journal piece, Down Under scoundrel-extraordinaire Andrew Kidman cancels the New York leg of his ETHER tour. To quote Mike Hunt, "what a kunnnnnnn"...For those of you who've pre-ordered thru the shop, Joey Clams is already after this villain. Your books will be signed and fingerprinted by the bagel refugee himself if it's the last one he butters. We'll have extra copies in the shop so no worries all 'round. Just might need to hook-up an in haus tourne-disque to listen to the Ank/NPJR instrumental 10" included...limited counterfeit edition of 1050, "out of focus and in focus" falling off a truck soon...

Merry Crimble and Betty Grable Too-oo-oo!

PODGY THE BEAR AND JASPER WERE HUDDLED AROUND THE UNLIT FIRE IN THE CENTRE OF THE ROOM. "THERE ARE NO MORE MATCHES LEFT, PODGY," SAID JASPER.
"THEN BUY SOME, JASPER, OLD FRIEND," SAID PODGY. "MAKE A LIST AND AFTERWARDS WE'LL GO TO THE SHOP AND BUY MATCHES AND BUY CANDLES AND BUNS." "THERE'S NO MORE PAPER TO WRITE ON, PODGY." "NO NEED TO WORRY, JASPER. YOU KEEP SAYING TO YOURSELF `MATCHES` AND I'LL KEEP SAYING `CANDLES` UNTIL WE REACH THE SHOP. THEN WE WON'T NEED TO WRITE IT DOWN, WE'LL REMEMBER." "WHO'LL REMEMBER THE BUNS, PODGY?" "WE BOTH WILL, JASPER ... MATCHES," "CANDLES." "MATCHES." "CANDLES." "MATCHES." "CANDLES." "MATCHES." "CANDLES." "MATCHES." "CANDLES."

The History of Surfing
Nat Young

this edition is out of print and features the full-color red wetsuit cover

When Nat Young published his highly personalized, Aussie-centric 'History of Surfing' in 1983, he included the Bonzer but credited Mike Eaton with its invention. The Campbell Brothers threatened suit to correct the error. They were included in the 1987 revised edition.

The Surfer's Journal
Vol.16, #2

"Essential text, well written comprehensive historical overview with great photographs. Duke Kahanamoku at Freshwater: 15 January 1915"

Surf Wars: The Bonzer

a fine addition to any archive or library...only three copies available! in the shop tomorrow
